Job Description and Service Standards: BANQUET SERVER.

LOCATION: The Club at Longview.

DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage.

REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Manager/Banquet Management.

The following reflects basic service standards and job description for a Banquet Server at The Club at Longview.

Aims & Objectives:
Perform food and drink serving duties at meal periods and special events while interacting with guests in a positive, friendly, and efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare proper tables, room, and drink set up for time of events/meeting, to include moving, rolling and lifting of tables and chairs.
Greet customers upon their arrival in a friendly manner.
Serve beverages and food in appropriate order and in tune with the expectation of the banquet captain to ensure consistency throughout the event.
Remove dishes as guests finish each meal or at the end of the function.
Replenish beverages when necessary and check with guests to make sure we are exceeding guests expectations.
Clear and clean tables in a prompt and efficient manner – clean/wipe down tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirrors, and floors as necessary.
After banquet concludes, reset banquet room in accordance with the banquet captain’s specification to ensure the rooms are presentable for future functions.
Complete any assigned duties as requested by Food & Beverage Management Team.
Attend any training or meetings held as requested by management.
Willing and able to lift/push 30+lbs.
Assist other departments when necessary while maintaining other departments’ standards.
Take a proactive role in encouraging teamwork, cooperation, harmony, productivity and a positive attitude within the working environment.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
